Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal became member of Statkraft's corporate management team 1. April 2020 for the European Wind and Solar business area.

Ringstad Vartdal comes from the position as CEO in Golden Ocean. She has also worked as CFO in Golden Ocean, held various management positions in Torvald Klaveness Group and worked for Norsk Hydro's energy division. She has several board positions. She holds a MSc in Physics and Mathematics from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and a MSc in Financial Mathematics from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
